Lows tonight will be in the -10's to -20's in the Lower Koyukuk and Middle Yukon Valleys. Highs tomorrow will reach about 5°F.
Winds will be around 15 mph out of the north tonight. These winds will put the wind chill around -40°F. This pattern will stick around throughout the day Saturday as a low-pressure system remains fairly stationary in the Gulf of Alaska. Expect winds to be around 5 mph on Saturday from the N to NW.
It will remain partly cloudy over Friday night into Saturday, however snowfall is not likely. Visibility should continue to be good. Perhaps Kristy and Anna will catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights through the clouds as forecasts call for high auroral activity over this part of Alaska.
