Race Update 11 ~ Anna out of White Mountain.

3/13/2014

Anna was out of White Mountain right on schedule at 6:35pm AK time Thursday.  She dropped one dog and pulled out in 39th place with 8 dogs in harness.  She's got 2 teams pulling out shortly after, and while I salute safety in numbers out there, I hope she continues to lead the threesome.

Anna and her team are well rested, they're traveling at a time of day conducive to lighter winds, and they can taste the finish.  I'm revising to 7 hours for the run to Safety, and 3 to Nome.  If you plan to catch the live feed, I'd start looking for updates by 4:30am AK / 8:30am EST.

38 teams are in to Nome.  Anna and her dogs are up next!
